Periodontology 4 is an international non-profit, peer-review, online journal. Our primary goal is to publish the outcomes of original investigations as well as reviews, case reports, short communications, and letters to the editor in the field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. We are focused in publishing the scientific and technological advances achieved by the dental community, with the objective of assuring its acceptability at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

Our publishers, Editorial Board, and their respective employees, offices, and agents accept no liability whatsoever for the consequences of any inaccurate or misleading opinion or statement.

Peer Review Process

The review and evaluation process of the manuscript’s scientific content will only be initiated after meeting all requirements criteria described in the Instructions for authors. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the corresponding author for adaptations. If no consensus between the reviewers is found, the manuscript should be sent to another review or Editorial Board, and after analysis, a decision will be taken. When revision of the original is required, the manuscript will be returned to the corresponding author for modification.

A revised version with modifications will be re-submitted by the authors, and that will be reevaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board. The authors and referees will be kept anonymous during the review process. Contents of the manuscript are the authors’ responsibility and do not reflect the opinion of the editor-in-chief or Editorial Board.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
